Adult Sailing Classes

Participants will get hands on training for three hours on the water on a Catalina sailboat. One hour will be spent on land, learning knots and terminology before putting your skills to the test on the water. While on the water, individuals will learn how to dock, boating safety, right of way between sailboats, and more.

Boating Camps

Campers will be kayaking and learning how to stand up paddle board throughout the week. They will learn paddle-stroke techniques on both vessels. When campers are taking a break from boating, they will hike to the creek, play land games, or just relax under the trees.

Youth Sailing Classes/Camps

We offer four hour Parent/Child Sailing classes and week-long Teen Sailing camps. Students will learn to sail in a safe and structured manner while learning new skills that promote teamwork and leadership. Campers will be sailing on Capri and Catalina sailboats that accommodate 2-3 students where they will work together as a crew to harness the wind as they learn to sail their sailboats across the lake.

Leaders in Training Camp

Campers will get an opportunity to learn how to work with co-workers while helping the boat attendants at the boat docks and gain experience planning and leading activities in a day camp setting. LIT’s will be able to enjoy the full Boat Camp experience while being challenged to build their skills and confidence.
