Meet our Teachers

Ever since I can remember my life has revolved around teaching or caring for small children. I knew from an early age it was my calling. I began working as a nanny and babysitter in High School. I also spent my summers teaching gymnastics to 2- and 3-year old’s. My education is in Child Development, and I have continued to further my education by taking classes at night. I believe there is always more to learn.
Being an early childhood educator has allowed me the opportunity to make a real difference in young lives. Being passionate in what I do and finding new ways to teach children and being a positive impact in their life is the reason I look forward to going to work daily. People say, “All you do is play all day.” Yes, that is true, but play allows them to use their creativity, while developing their imagination. The best part about play is they learn the skills they will need while studying, working, and relationships. Ultimately building their self-esteem and confidence.

When I’m not at World of Discovery I am spending time with my 3 beautiful daughters going on adventures to concerts, Renaissance fair, or maybe the beach. I also have son who is married and blessed me with my first granddaughter in 2020. I have 3 adorable puppies named, Ruby, Sissy, and Lilo. I love to bowl, read, and spend my down time with all of my many great childhood friends.

I am asked daily what I feel is the most important thing for a parent to do when they are at home with their child. READ, READ, READ! Best thing you can do for your child. It assists them in their emotional and social development, since they learn to associate their feelings with words, this will enable them to find a way to express themselves better, while falling in love with various characters and their different perspectives, which will certainly allow them to become more empathetic. You can never read to many books!!

Hello my name is Jasmine. I have a Certificate Of Achievement in Child Development. I have an Associates degree in Liberal Arts Social Science. I am currently attending school to get my Bachelors degree in Child Development with a minor in Special Education.
I believe that all children are different learners and would like to assist in their learning process.

Outside of work like to paint with my son. Also I like going on hikes outdoors.

I am a mother to a four year old boy. My son helped me realize I would like to work with children.

I have a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from a college in India
I did my Post Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a college in India.
Took some prerequisite classes at Chabot college Hayward
I have 13 years of work experience in Pre School. ( 8 years + 5 years at WOD)
I believe in providing every child a fun, loving and safe environment away from home. To help them to be kindergarten ready by giving them exposure to skills like cutting, drawing, painting, singing, free-play, puzzles etc.

I love to Paint. I painted about 10 paintings during Lockdown and happily gave them away to my friends. I also love Indian cooking. I cook for friends and families whenever I host them at my place. Me and my husband like to travel a lot and have been to many countries.

I came to the US as my husband came here for his Masters and was working here. My husband is in Tech and we have been married for 29 years. I have 2 kids, my daughter in 25 years old and is working. My son is almost 21 years old and is in college.
